Andros is located 2 hours from Athens , it is the second largest island in the Cyclades. Andros is very different from the islands you know. It has an area of 380 sq. Km. It is 6 nautical miles from Evia (Kafirea Strait, Cape Doro) and less than one nautical mile from Tinos. The island is about 40 km long, 17 km wide and is about 36 nautical miles from Rafina with which it is connected by ferry. The coastline of Andros is rocky with a total length of about 176 km . and according to Andreas Empirikos Andros is “the island of the epaglos, the king of the Aegean; the most beautiful of all the world”.
